Q&A

Where to exchange money?

To exchange money in Morocco you will need your passport. Airport rates are usually poor, and sometimes instead of cash you will be given a temporary bank card.

Best approach: change a small amount at the airport for immediate expenses, then exchange the rest in the city or simply use your bank card. ATMs are available everywhere. Always double-check the change you receive.

At Marrakech Menara Airport, near the luggage pick-up area, you will find booths selling Moroccan SIM cards (passport required). Operators like Orange and Inwi are available, Orange is usually the best option.

Once you insert the new SIM card, ask the staff to help you top it up so you are ready to go.

No, drones are banned in Morocco. If you bring one, it will be confiscated and you will not get it back. [More information here]

Passport: Must be valid for the entire duration of your stay.

Visa: Nationals of most European countries do not need a visa for tourist visits of up to 3 months.

Health form: All passengers must download, print, and sign a passenger health form before arrival.

Since the trip includes multiple transfers and different accommodations, a backpack is the best choice, leave the big suitcase at home. Also pack some warm clothes for the desert, as temperatures drop sharply at night despite the heat during the day.

The tour does not involve tiring activity. Expect easy walks around city centers. In the desert, walking through the sand can be a bit more demanding, but nothing extreme.
